Conditions for using Africa Valuer’s valuation tools and related services.
Acceptance
By accessing or using the Africa Valuer website and services, including the property wallet, valuation workflows, methodology, and research pages, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Nature of the service
Africa Valuer provides valuation tools and opinion codes for informational and decision-support purposes. The outputs are estimates based on the methodology we publish (e.g. land–income framework for property in Uganda). They are not a substitute for a formal valuation report, professional advice, or due diligence. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for loans, transactions, or legal or tax decisions.
“As is” and no warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SERVICE.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Africa Valuer and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service, or from any reliance on valuation outputs or opinion codes. Your use of the service is at your sole risk.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, abuse the valuation or opinion-code APIs, scrape or harvest data beyond normal use, or use the service in any way that could harm the site or other users.
Intellectual property and methodology
The site content, methodology, and materials are owned by Africa Valuer or its licensors. You may view and use the service for personal or internal decision-support in accordance with these terms. Our methodology is described in the published technical note and is intended to be transparent; use of outputs does not grant you rights to our models or code.
Changes and termination
We may change these terms or the service at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or discontinue the service without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive termination.
Governing law and contact
